Surf Academy@treviglas

Name: Gael Gauthier
Nickname: The moose
Standard of surfing: ....advanced?.....and awful !

Countries surfed, years of experience: France, Spain, Portugal, Morocco, Senegal, Martinique, England. 4 years
Best surf experience: mmmmmm...perfect 7 foot surf in Hossegor. I was fifteen and had never surfed such nice powerful waves. It was just the sort of session where practically anyone could get barrelled and have the best surf of their lives.

Worst surf experience: When I lived in Senegal, me and my mates only surfed reefs coz that's all there is there and its perfect but there was this time where I went to surf this wave that I didn't really know. It was bigger than I thought. I took off on this wave and just didn't land it, got the lip straight on my head, did a 900 underwater and opened my arm pretty well on the rocks. That really sucked.

Where you from?: Im from Quebec in Canada where I was born and left for England at the age of 8, stayed there five years and left one year for west Africa in Senegal, then went back to Quebec for a year and then went to live in Brittany for 3 years.

What your on : 6.1 Robert Vaughan and 5.11 Ricardo

Career aspirations: eummmm, probably work for a company like Errant in a warm country.

Thoughts on the course: Well, the place is spotless and the teachers are really cool and performing.

My predicted grades: Bs and Cs and hopefully a couple of As. I just need to improve my year 8 English (I'm French Canadian) and understand what Ellis says, especially his writing.

Advise for possible applicants : Try it it's a good course.
