Thank you for visiting the site of the Surf Academy@treviglas. The Surf Academy is a course that provides an opportunity for 16 year old + students who enjoy surfing to study and surf at Treviglas Community College.

If
you will finish your GCSE's in June and be looking for an A level course,
or are an adult learner who wants a career in the surf industry then our
two year course is your next step. We have a limited number of places available
for September 2009. You will achieve 3 'A' levels in addition to studying University modules
that result in a guaranteed University place on the Surf Science degree
at Plymouth University. These modules are also recognised by Universities
all over the country if Plymouth doesn't appeal to you... Many of our ex-students
have gone on to University or found work in the Surf/ Outdoor industry.

Perhaps your thinking 'I would love to but I am only 16 and can't afford to move to Newquay'...Most of our students receive an accommodation allowance of around £65 per week (as do our adult learners). This is in addition to an EMA allowance of £30 per week. Many are also elgible for transport expenses of up to £300 per year. To find out if your eligble: 16-18 year olds | Adult learners

Surf Trip 2010 latest update...
We have booked to visit the 'Errant Surf' resort in Northern Spain for the week of 24th-25th of October in partnership with Chris Thompson of errantsurf.com
